ToggleA Brief Overview of Fiverr.com
Fiverr is a freelancing platform that allows professionals of all types to post “gigs” or services, and allows for individuals or companies to hire these professionals. Of course there are other alternatives to Fiverr, such as Upwork, which we will discuss in another article, but for this post, we’ll focus on Fiverr, and focus on 3 ways to earn an income online and work from home using Fiverr. There are of course ways other than freelancing where you can earn an income online, such as starting a blog. But for now, we’ll discuss Fiverr.com.
This is a win-win for both parties involved, as the freelancer can put their skillset and expertise to use and earn a decent income from their services or skills, and the person hiring them for the freelance gig usually gets an exceptional quality service in exchange for the fee of the gig. If you already know you have the right expertise or experience or skills to start a gig, sign up here for Fiverr. If you’d like to learn more about Fiverr, then read on.
Setting Your Fees on Fiverr
The fees for services are nominally lower than per say, other freelance websites, but such comes with territory when it comes to freelancing. However, many freelancers on Fiverr, start small and charge lower point fees for their services, and increase their fees as they build a more solid portfolio, get reviews on their profile, recommendations and of course, can present higher quality work as experience is gained.
There are many categories of gigs listed on Fiverr. Under “Graphics & Design”, for example, there are listed subcategories and topics such as Logo Design and NFT art, for one. It is now cheaper than ever to hire an awesome freelancer with the right skills to get what you want done. One such category that applies to my blog, is that of “digital marketing”, where there are subcategories such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and under “Writing” we have “Articles & Blog Posts” where freelancers post gigs such as writing a 500, or 1000+ word article, fully researched, with proofreading and seo optimization included within the gig or service fee.
So whether you’re an individual or part of a company looking to hire exceptional talent, or are yourself a freelancer looking to build their portfolio, Fiverr is a great place to start. Start freelancing on fiverr today! I will write about alternatives and other freelancing websites, that can help you earn an income online or work from home soon.
